Lesotho Water Project

Your task is to create a water system for a community in the small African nation of Lesotho. The water system you create must:
1. Be more effective than what is currently available.
2. Improve the health of the community overall.

Before you decide what build, you must research what types of systems are already being used in Lesotho.
During this activity, you will:
  • Research water systems found in Africa.
  • Plan a water system for a community in Africa.
  • Examine water-related problems in Africa.

To begin:
  • Visit the Peace Corps website Peace Corps
  • You may choose to look at either photos or stories.
  • Start with Lesotho first.
  • As you are researching, you will be filling in the research chart.
  • Your goal is to find information on at least 5 pictures and 5 stories.
  • You will need this information to help you when you are creating a water system of your own.
